what is the formula to finding how many points you can eat daily?

  2. Dan says:

Hi Carrie, if you look in the right hand column there is a link that says ‘Daily Point Quiz’. Click there to be taken to the page for calculating daily points. Thanks for stopping by!

I am thinking of starting ww again, tomorrow…I am on Prednisone long term…I am wondering if you know of anyone that has been on weight watchers while on prednisone and had weight loss results. Prednisone is making me gain big time. Thanks

Hi Aleyce, I thought my wife had, but she was on prednisone before doing WW. She said she gained allot of weight as well, but that it came off pretty easy when she stopped taking it. I would imagine it would still work fine as it is primarily a way of controlling calorie intake. Be sure to get your doctors OK first. Good luck!

    Hola!
What are some good breakfast foods to eat?
I am a big breakfast person.

    I stared W.W. Feb 1, and lost 6lbs!
The program seems to be easy and I seem
to be not hungry at all!

Hi Dario, welcome to the site! It’s weird that you bring up breakfast food. I am a huge breakfast fan and Wednesdays are the day that we generally have a ‘breakfast’ style dinner. We do it at dinner because that is the meal that we allow ourselves the most points. If we ate it in the morning chances are we would go way over our points for the day.

It’s pretty easy to have a fairly low point breakfast by making a few substitutions like egg beaters instead of eggs, whole grain breads for toast or french toast, sugar free syrup, sugar free jam, butter spray, light multi grain muffins, fat-free cheese, lean bacon, etc.

We usually find that we can eat a full breakfast at dinner time using fewer points than we normally would for a regular dinner. I still need to find a low point replacement for bicuits and gravy, though…I sure miss biscuits and gravy, LOL

Great job with the 6 pounds! Keep up good work!

Do you any resturants that serve smoked/BBQ food. Here in texas there is a BBQ joint on every corner.I am looking for Ribs, Brisket, chicken, sausage, hot links, pork

    Thanks RoRo

Hi RoRo, Most of those types of places don’t provide any nutritional information for the items that they sell. I guess what I would recommend is going to the search page (not the search box at the top – it doesn’t work right) and typing in what you are looking for (like ribs) and then finding one that you think may be comparable to what you are having. Firebirds Bar & Grill may be a good reference place, also. Hope this helps and thanks for visiting
