Thanks Heather! I hope to be adding more to this list in the near future but at the time it was all I could come up with. Thanks for stopping by!

This is great! I can’t weight until you at more foods. I have a Google Phone and there is a free Application on there called, Calorie Counter. You can look up all differnt kinds of food and find out the number of WW points for them. The application also has a feature that allows you to scan bar codes of food products and then tells you the number of WW points. It allows you to keep a food diary, the more you use it the easier it is. I love it!

how do i get my phone to do the point calculation? also, isnt there some sort of “extra” points you get over your regular points? thanks for any info
January 15, 2010
Hey kitty! Not sure about the phone thing. You do get 35 bonus points points each week to use as you see fit. Many people don’t use them at all to help increase their weight loss. The only thing you can’t do is divide them up among the days of the week giving yourself 5 extrra points a day.
January 17, 2010
i dont get it, so how do use the 35 extra points? like 1 extra a day? thanks again! Also, i should tell you, i’m a real weirdo dieter, and have done low carb for years, but am so sick of low carb, so i decided to try a low carb weight watchers diet, but im allergic to eggs and cheese, but i do love meat and protein. i am looking to eat foods that arent low carb every day, but sticking to the points. i only would like to lose 5 lbs, and maintain it. thank you so much for your input and support! oh! i also want to buy a calculator for the points, where do you suggest? this is actually alot of fun for me!!
January 17, 2010
Welcome back Kitty. The only real rule with the 35 bonus points is don’t divide them up among the days of the week giving yourself 5 more points each day. You don’t have to use all of them or any of them if you don’t want to. basically, they are there for times that you know your daily point allowance isn’t going to cut it, like at a holiday dinner or birthday party.
Just use what you need to and at the beginning of the next week you get 35 points again. Try not to use them unless you have to, remember…the goal is to lose weight.
I have calculators and starter kits for sale on this site (see the right hand column towards the top of the page) and they are also available on Amazon – click here. Good luck with your goals!
January 19, 2010
hi again dan, i do have another question, i love all meat protein, is this taboo? i see a steak is like 15 points, but as long as its not got fat on it right?we had filet migon last night, they were small steaks. but the other sides were all fresh greens and a little sweet potato (no butter or anything) does this sound like a weight watcher dinner? I just cant cut out meat(my husband is a meat cutter!) and im not a big fruit person. I cant break away from this low carb thing. i wouldnt dare eat pasta , rice or white potato,im so scared swithching diets!
January 20, 2010
Hey Kitty, I know what you mean about the meat. My wife accuses me of being a meatatarian. Just keep the cuts as lean as possible, any meal is a weight watchers meal as long as you know how many points it is and don’t go over you daily limit.
The great thing about weight watchers is that it can be adapted to accomodate pretty much any lifestyle. You don’t have to switch diets 100%, just keep track of what your eating and stop when you reach your limit.
Thanks for visiting!
January 23, 2010
hi dan! i’m your biggest pain in the butt, i know! but another question if your not sick of me!! ok, i dont understand this. you can eat 1/2 can of plain tuna (in water) for about 4 points, or like a piece of grilled chicken breast for about 4 points. But, you can eat 2 taco shells, or some fattening thing for less points than the healthy plain protein items. how is that? Now I have to say last night was a dinner party here(we throw alot of them) and i went over my points a little then used up the extra 35.So i guess that was my extra for the week right? I never in a million years would eat flaky appetizers OR a piece of cake, but I did. if i gain a pound over the points im gonna freak, but this morning my stomach was still pretty flat and jeans fit good. Now today, i hardly used any points. So, i should be ok right? thank you again, and i know i’m asking alot, but i do appreciate all you do! just explain the protein thing if you can!
January 23, 2010
Hey there Kitty! You’re not being a pain at all, I’m glad that you are a repeat visitor to the site.
For the 35 points, they reset each week on your ‘weigh-in day’. If you are doing it on your own make sure you reset them on the same day each week, and yep…once they are gone they are gone! LOL
There’s definitely a place for the healthy proteins in your daily diet. I think the reason that it works out like that is because WW focuses on just 3 nutrtitional items (calories, total fat & fiber). If the calories are low then the points will naturally be low, too. Fat content drives the points higher and fiber helps bring it back down again. Since there is no fiber in meat that could be part of the reason.
You should try to stay as close to your daily point allowance as possible. When I feel guilty about eating some of my bonus points, instead of eating fewer points the next day I will increase the intensity of my workout to try to burn them off.
Hope I answered your questions!

Hi Dan and thanks for the list, very useful. I’m not really after losing weight just the 4 inches or so of fat around my waist so giving the points a go. Any tips from anybody?
Thank you,
Ed
March 10, 2010
Hey Ed, thanks for visiting the site. I think you’ll find that the points system is pretty easy to stick to.
I plan on updating this ’0 Point’ list soon, but have been working overtime the last few weeks at my real job. When completed there will be lots of new items here.
March 14, 2010
I dont understand how white sugar is 0 points. I need help with points wih cofee/ fat free lactose free creamer and brown turbanado sugar. from what i can find on here its 0? help! lol….
March 14, 2010
Hi again Dennie. I responded to your other comment with the point values for the creamer and sugar. The reason that white sugar shows up as 0 points is simply due to the serving size. Anything less than 25 calories with no fat will be 0 points.

HELLO DAN, I HAVE BEEN ON THE WW DIET SINCE MAY 5 AND AM STALLED AT A WEIGHT LOSS OF 15 POUNDS. I AM GETTING A BIT DISCOURAGED. IS THIS STALL NORMAL, OR AM O JUST IMPATIENT?? WHEN SOMETHING LIKE 98% FAT FREE POPCORN OR SUGAR FREE JELLO IS O POINTS, DOES THAT MEAN THAT YOU CAN EAT AS MUCH OF IT AS YOU WANT, OR DO YOU HAVE TO ABIDE BY THE SERVING SIZE? I AM OBSESSED WITH THE POPCORN AND SNACK ON IT OFTEN, MOSTLY TO KEEP MY HANDS BUSY! I ALSO WANT TO THANKYOU FOR THIS FABULOUS SITE! I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR REPLY. THANKS AGAIN, WENDY
May 28, 2010
Hi Wendy, 15 pounds is alot to lose in about 3 weeks. Many people take 2 months to lose that amount so I would not be to discouraged. Stay on track and as long as you are doing everything right the weight loss will start again. One thing that I just thought of though, is that after losing 15 pounds you may have lost 1-2 points from your daily point allowance depending on your starting weight. If you haven’t already done so, take the point quiz again with your current weight to make sure that you are using the correct number of points each day.
For zero point items, weight watchers recommends that you limit them to 5 servings per day. Whenever you have multiple servings of an item you should be calculating the points based on the total calories, fat and fiber for the number of servings that you have. For example, if the popcorn is 24 calories, 0 fat & 0 fiber per serving (just some made up numbers) that is 0 points for one serving. But if you have 3 servings that would be 72 calories, 0 fat & 0 fiber which is 2 points and only 3 calories away from being 3 points (they add up pretty quickly). While weight watchers recommends that you only eat five 0 point items per day, they also recommend that you eat five servings of fruit and veggies per day, which are usually 0 points. So they have basically told us in a round about way what we can use for our 0 point items each day. Pretty sneaky, huh?
Thanks for visiting and I hope what I wrote makes sense…

Also, the list of 0 point items was recently updated. You can find the new list here: http://onemorepound.com/2010/03/20/0-point%C2%AE-items-for-weight-watchers/

Can u tell me what the name of the app for the iPhone that conts cals and gives ww points
November 30, 2010
Hi.. I recently found out that I am pregnant.. I have been on weight watchers for the past two years.. I have lost aprox 90 lbs on it. My goal during my pregnancy is obviously not to lose weight but to maintain a healthy weight and gain moderately. Do you have any suggestions as to how many extra points a day I should eat due to being pregnant.. I am 8 weeks and I have already gained 8 pounds….
HELP!!!
December 2, 2010
Hi Tonya, I have no information about how to follow weight watchers when you are pregnant and would hate to give you inaccurate advice. My suggestion would be to stop in at a local meeting and tell them that you are pregnant and interested in how WW is done differently during your pregnancy. I would think they would be more than happy to discuss it with you. Sorry I can’t be of more assistance.

I have a question all of the foods have a serving size so does everyone measure out the food everytime before they eat it? and what happens if you go over the serving sizes? Thank You
December 9, 2010
Hey Nikki, I think that most people try to measure at first and then after they get a feel for it they start to estimate. As long as you are close you will be fine but if you are counting multiple servings as one serving your weight loss will definitely suffer.
It’s not as much of a pain as it sounds. My wife still measures and weighs just about everything and has for years. Once you make the commitment to do it, it only takes a couple extra seconds.

PS – This is an outdated list of 0 point items. There is a link towards the top of the page to the newer updated list with tons more 0 point items
