Below are the results of my weekly weigh-ins since I first started doing Weight Watchers in the spring of 2009. The weeks that are in bold are weeks that I signed up for another ‘Weekly Pass’.
The first table contains official weights from my Weight Watchers meetings in 2009. The second one contains unofficial weigh-ins as I try to lose the weight by doing Weight Watchers on my own in 2010. Wish me luck! (updated results are being posted in the forums)

Well, I managed to survive the holidays without totalling blowing my weight loss to this point. I had quite a hard time, basically from Halloween on. Now that all of that is behind me it is time to get back on track. Last weekend I assembled a home gym in the basement that I have started to work into my daily routine. I’m doing a 12 week program that involves weight training and cardio. Hopefully this will help get me to my goal of 195 pounds in that time, which would only be 1 pound per week…time to get back on program!!

105 Comments to 'My Weight Watchers Progress'
December 2, 2009
Well, I finally updated my results for the last 5 weeks. Up 4 pounds and I still have not had my ‘post’ Thanksgiving weigh in yet (that will be tomorrow). I’m hoping to pull out a small loss and have been doing an hour on the treadmill everyday since Saturday. Hopefully it pays off. Only 3 weigh ins left (including tomorrow) to reach my personal goal of being under 200 pounds…
December 17, 2009
Today was my final ‘official’ weigh in. The total tally after 32 weeks of doing Weight Watchers is a 26.6 pound weight loss. I was hoping for a little more (personal goal is 195) but had a hard time starting around Halloween and continuing through the remainder of the year. I’m going to quit tracking for the rest of this year (2 weeks) and will begin logging my weights again in the new year. Hopefully my goal will be a little easier to get to after the holidays.
January 11, 2010
Dan,
You are doing just fabulous. You are successfully down over 20lbs. And, goal is not too far away. Good for you! I am on a similar path as you. I started in June and did well, struggling through the holidays. It is January and it is a new start. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your success in weeks to come.
January 11, 2010
Thanks for the encouragement, Stephanie. This week may be a little ruff for me as well, as my birthday is coming up. I told my wife no cake but we usually go out for dinner. I will try to be good…
January 14, 2010
What I love about following the Flex plan is I can plan to have a cheat meal and use my allowance POINTS!
I’m back on WW after falling out of the habit of tracking my POINTS and gaining close to 10 lbs.
January 19, 2010
Happy Birthday…
And congrat’s on the loss last week.
January 19, 2010
Thanks Stephanie! Looking good for this week, so far…
February 10, 2010
I really love this site…I had originally lost 26 lbs on weight watchers 4 years ago…I had like 5 lbs to go but it wouldn’t budge…so I maintained that loss up until Ocotber 2009 when I became ill for a month, quit smoking and went to Hawaii!!! Yeah hello 12 lbs on top of the 5 I never got off…so I have pulled out all my old weight watchers books and sliders and so far since the 8th have dropped 5 lbs…yay…so this site is helping me out with quite a few aspects and I just wanted to thank you for the time you spend keeping this going for those of us who don’t want to pay the 300 bucks to go back to real meetings…so good luck to you, you are almost there brother!!! and I will use your site like a dirty shirt!!!
lisa
February 10, 2010
LOL, Thanks Lisa and welcome to the site. It’s weird how it takes so much work and dedication to lose the weight but it seems like it can all come undone in a weekend…Your off to a great start, keep up the good work!
March 14, 2010
I use lactose free/fat free creamer in my coffee. I cannot locate the points for this. Also, under the sweetners??…I use natural (light brown) turbinado sugar. What would be the points for these 2 things.? i cant find them on here. thanks! love this site, and im finally on my way!! I just need the total points for my coffee so if anyone can help, it would be appreciated!!
March 14, 2010
Hi Dennie, thanks for visiting the site. Here is what I can find:
1 tsp Tubinator Sugar (20 Cal, 0 Fat, 0 Fib) = 0 Points
1 tsp Lactose Free Fat Free Coffee Creamer (10 Cal, 0 Fat, 0 Fib) = 0 points
Keep in mind that the above point values are for 1 serving only. The creamer is still 0 points for two servings but if you use 2 servings of the sugar that will be one point.
March 14, 2010
Hey Y’all! I’m new to the site and the program (2 meetings so far!). I am recently engaged, and I need to lose 50lbs by late summer. The wedding is in October, and I intend to look fabulous =D
Thanks for all the help so far, and wish me luck!
March 14, 2010
Hey Jennifer, welcome to the site!! 50 pounds is definitely possible. Four years ago my wife (also a Jennifer) lost a little over 50 pounds in 6 months and has kept it off ever since. WW is a great program and if you stick with it you will look great! Stop by once in awile and let us know how it goes. Good luck!
March 15, 2010
Will do…thanks for the warm welcome!
March 26, 2010
Well, after 12 complete weeks of WW with my new workout routine I am only down 3.2 pounds. That number is kind of a bummer, but I am trying to convince myself that although my weight has not changed much, I am in much better shape and have gained a noticeable amount of muscle.
Now I need to decide how to approach the next ‘phase’ of my plan…continue with the strength training and accept the slower weight loss or concentrate only on cardio and diet…
April 7, 2010
Dan, I don’t know you’re height and muscle mass. However the one problem I’ve found with WW is some of their recommended weights seem off to me. For example my husband is in awesome shape. He’s 5’9 and weighs 198, but is super buff. At my first weight watchers meeting they showed us this height/weight goal chart and looking at the guys they recommend someone like him have a goal of 185. If he dropped down even more than a few lbs it would look like he was ill. Also they suggest for my height i be between 124-134. When I was a size 4 and weighed 140 ish all thorough highschool. My point is You’re doing great and you’ve lost alot of weight already. I know that its good to set weight goals, but if you are eating healthy for your weight, and very active in work out plan, you should be proud that you are taking care of your health and not so worried that the scale says 3.2lbs. I’m sure you’re doctor will tell you physically you have done wonders over the past year for your health and that is all that really matters.
April 7, 2010
Hi Amanda Jo. I know what you mean about the height/weight thing. I am 6’0″ and according to weight watchers (and my doctor) I should be 185 pounds, also. That’s what I weighed in the 6th grade!
I still have my personal goal set at 195 pounds but I am not tying myself into a certain time frame to accomplish it. As long as I am eating healthy and exercising frequently I must be getting healthier, right?
April 8, 2010
Exactly, the whole point in life is that you feel healthy and you feel good about your progress. Keep you’re head up. You just need to keep reminding yourself that you’ve come so far and accomplished so much already. Those last 10lbs are hell on everyone!
April 8, 2010
April 10, 2010
I have just come across your website….and I am very excited….I need to lose aprox 50lbs….weighed in today 191 and my goal is 140lbs….my shorterm goal right now is hopefully 10-15lbs by the may long weekend….turning 40 and would like to wear a dress that is hanging in my closet little to snug…lol…anyways just wanted to say what a great job on your site….and i look forward to utilizing all your information and tips…..:)
April 11, 2010
Hey Tracy! Welcome to the site. Ten pounds by Memorial weekend should be very attainable. The weight usually comes off pretty easy in the beginning so you may actually reach your goal a little early. Be sure to get in some exercise! Good luck and let us know how it’s going once in awhile.
April 11, 2010
Hi Dan -
Try not to get discouraged, although I know it’s easy. You are doing great! When you are gaining muscle the scale is not your friend. You should try measuring yourself instead, and take note of how your clothes are fitting. I’ve always said I don’t care what the scale says, I care what the mirror says
7 years ago I did WW and lost 62 lbs, and made lifetime. Then my life changed and I went back to work… sigh. I have now gained it all back, plus some.
The program really works for me, but I seem to falter big time when I don’t go to meetings. I am thinking of giving it a no-meeting try again. Hopefully my weight loss efforts will be fueled by my new training schedule…. I am training to walk 60 miles in 3 days in the Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure! Losing the extra weight sure would help me get through those miles!
Here on your site I found just the tools I needed to help me get restarted. Thanks!
April 12, 2010
Thank you Deb. I do know that my waistline is trimming down as I’ve moved down a pant size and they are getting loose now, too. My wife keeps saying that I look great but she’s my wife so she has to say that
I know what you mean about the meetings, I think the weigh in was a real motivator for me. I may sign up again soon just to help jump start my weight loss a little.
Good luck with the walk (and with your goals)! If there’s ever anything that you are looking for that I don’t have on the site, let me know and I will do my best to dig up some information.
April 12, 2010
Good afternoon All!
I started WW on March 15. Even though we had some major obsticals over these past 4 weeks it was pretty good. I have lost 10 lbs already. I love this site, Thanks Dan!!
Just a suggestion, recipes would be nice, I’m always looking for new things to try. My husband and I both are following WW and we need ALOT of points through out the day (32 pts and 42 pts).. SO we have been trying new recipes. If anyone has anything please share.
I’ve got some small goals and I just hit the first one by losing 10 lbs by April 15th and it’s not even the 15th yet! YAH ME!! Next goal about another 10-15 by Memorial Day… Gotta keep my small goals in my head so I can reach my big goal of 60 lbs by January…
Also I don’t go to meetings but I have a few people that do that so when they goto there meetings on Monday evening we text each other to announce our weightloss! So that keeps me motivated. It’s like my little own WW group!!!
Everyone keep up the good work, it’s not a diet it’s a life change…
April 12, 2010
Hi Dani, so glad that you found the site. Ten pounds in 4 weeks is a great number! You should be very proud!
Whenever someone says they have a suggestion for the site my heart always skips a beat, because I am still kind of new at running a site and learning as I go along. I’m always afraid that the request will be something that I have no idea how to do. Yours is an easy one that actually already exists. I just broke 100 recipes on the site today. There is a link on the home page of the site about half way down for recipes. Here is a direct link…
I like the idea of small goals, makes them more attainable and gives you a reason to celebrate your accomplishments more often. Good luck to you and your husband and let me know if there is anything else that you would like to see on the site and I will do my best.
April 13, 2010
Hi Dan!
I appologize I’ve always used the table of contents and never really looked at the home page. Thanks again for your help, this page is awesome…. Reading it everyday really keeps me motivated…
Have a blessed day!
It’s not a diet it’s a life change…
April 13, 2010
Thanks again Dani. I probably should add a link in the table of contents for recipes…there are probably a lot of people that use that to navigate the site. I’ll get that done today
April 17, 2010
Dan…Been following all of you on here…and it helps to have a buddy system!!~ I have lost 10 lbs since…yes!!!…But i have one question…i have ONE weigh day a week, and try to stay away from the scale for 7 days…lol….but this week..i stayed the SAME!! grrrrrr…Why is this??? ive followed it to a T..counted ALL my points..but no wt. loss??? is this normal Dan????
April 17, 2010
Ten pounds is a great accomplishment Dennie! I stick to the ‘once a week’ weigh in, also. I think since WW is only set up to help lose .5 to 2 pounds per week that any little change can really make a difference. So if you got in a little less exercise or if your portion sizes were off a little, those can affect how your weigh in goes.
Great job with the 10 pounds, though. Remain dedicated to the plan and you will definitely have continued success.
April 17, 2010
Thanks Dan!!..tomorrow is weigh in and ill keep you posted…it had better be a minus!!..lol..~ Also..just a little note to all who are on WW..Having been in the medical field for many years…I was watching a Dr. Oz show..he says to eat a few walnuts a day..well i think this has been my problem as for 1/4 cup is 7 points!!! YIKES!!..love this site..!! seems so much easier to stay on tract when i have to report in to anyone who cares!!..haha….
Dennie~
April 19, 2010
Dan…wt loss for last week was 1 lb..so im happy!!~ makes 11 lbs for me…. and i also stopped the 1 serving of walnuts!..I figured it out…ONE large walnut is 1 pt!!..not worth it..Good Luck to everyone on this WW journey!!..
April 19, 2010
Great job Dennie! I gave myself a personal goal this week of 2% (4.2 pounds) to try and kickstart my losses again. Was doing good until the weekend, now I need to make up a some ground.
April 19, 2010
What kind of scale do you use? I am just starting and would like to invest in a good, accurate scale…do you have any suggestions?
April 19, 2010
Hi Mari, welcome to the site. My wife and I use a Weight Watchers digital scale that she bought at Target for around $40. Seems to be pretty accurate, my wife weighs herself before going to her official weigh in and it is usually right on.
April 20, 2010
I posted the following on a different page but thought I’d copy it over here, too, just incase someone missed it…
“Hi everyone, I found a site that may be useful for you if you make a lot of things from scratch and have a hard time figuring out the points. Here is the link…
Copy and paste your recipe into the box, enter the number of servings then hit analyze. Seems like it works pretty good, but I had to tweek a couple of item names before it found them. It will give you the nutrition information for each serving which you can then use to calculate points. Just thought I’d share.”
April 23, 2010
Hi Dan, Well, my husband and I are going to start WW next week. We are both in our late 50′s and not only is the weight harder to lose, but it seems to be distributing itself in some mighty odd places LOL !!!
Anyhow, with the both of us attending meetings we will have each other (and the other members) for moral support. We joined WW quite a number of years ago; way before the Point System; lost weight ( him more than me), but starting celebrating our weight loss each week by eating a Friendly’s 5-scoop sundae !!! Not a really smart idea. Some years and sundaes later, here we are, looking like little weebles !!!
We are so amazed at your progress with WW !! Keep up the GREAT work. Wish us luck (we’re sure going to need it; since they just built a new Friendly’ down the road!!) Take care and Bless You for all you’ve done for us folks needing that extra push.
April 23, 2010
Hey Debby! Welcome to the site.
Thanks for the nice comments. I know what you mean about weight distributing to odd places…
Good luck with the point system, I think you will find it very easy to stick to. Having a friend/spouse to attend the meetings with really helps keep you on track. Especially if there are little competitions going on between the two of you. When I did the meetings with a coworker, whoever lost the least amount had to pay for lunch at Subway. Those were some tight battles…
I wish you guys the best. If you would like to share your results on here to help keep you motivated, there is an area for that on the new forum board that I put on the site this week. The link is in the right column towards the top if you want to check it out. Thanks for visiting!
April 23, 2010
Dan,
I LOVE your site. I have been on weight watchers since Oct. 2008 and have since lost 56 lbs. I have added your site to my favorites because there are so many helpful links that I’ll be referring to. As you I had a slow fall/winter and I’m finally feeling that I’m dialed into moving forward with my weightloss. I started this with one goal in mind and that was to shed the lbs. before my son’s wedding and that is soon approaching in May!
Thanks again!
April 23, 2010
Hi Laurie! Great job, That is awesome
Don’t drop your guard after your son’s wedding, though. Many people that lose weight for a specific purpose end up gaining back much of what they lost after the special event. Now that you have had such great success it would be a shame to go back to the old ways! Best wishes and congrats!
April 25, 2010
Thank you for this valuable web site. There is a wealth of information on here. I have made sure to bookmark your site on my PC and cell. Good luck to you on your continued weight loss goals.
April 26, 2010
Thanks Dee Dee! Good luck to you as well!
April 26, 2010
Hello, just wondering if it is possible for me to lose weight, while doing weight watchers at home. I would be using this website as a guide. I would like to lose some weight by june, is that possible or am I asking to much? That is when camping for our family begins, and that means bathing suits. I really would like to look a little bit better in mine then last year.
thanks,
Bonnie
April 26, 2010
Hi Bonnie, welcome to the site. The WW meetings are great for information and motivation, and the weigh ins definitely help keep some people focused on their goals, but they are not necessary for losing the weight. The key is knowledge, once you know what to do the rest is up to you. If you can remain dedicated to the plan there is no way that you will not lose weight. Good luck and let us know if you have any questions we can help with. There is also a forum where you can share your goals and weigh in results if you feel that is something that would help motivate you. Thanks for visiting!
April 26, 2010
TO BONNIE! I too use this site for resource and do not attend meetings. Helpful Hint: Make a family member aware of your weight loss and Every week on your specific weigh in let them know how you are doing! That’s how I’m doing it so that I have some support from someone.. I’ve lost 14 lbs since March 15, and my husband 20 so I know it works as long as you keep yourself motivated!!
Good luck, remember it’s not a diet it’s a life change!!
May 17, 2010
Hi… you ok? Hope to see your progress updated soon. We’re all in this together and we can do it, and will do it.
May 17, 2010
Hi Maggie, thanks for checking in. I’ve been posting my weekly updates in the forums for the last few weeks. Kind of heading in the wrong direction right now but I will turn it around
Feel free to join in on the discussions in the forum. There are only a few of us right now but all are welcome. The link is in the right hand column.
May 23, 2010
Hi Dan..thought id check in with my progress…Im at a total wt loss now of 16.5~ I was at 10 when i last emailed you…I bought a WW scale too…seems to be accurate…its a slow process for sure..but it works!!..I weigh every Sunday morning..praying it will be more that .5 or even 1…!!..lol..~ it can get discouraging at times, but i wont give up!! Im doing this for a Lifetime change!!!~ I love this site!! really helps keep me motivated to read everyones progress…:)
May 24, 2010
Hey Dennie, good to here from ya again. I know how you feel about the weigh ins, I look forward to even the .1 losses…
The way I look at it is I can’t lose 1 pound a week for the rest of my life or I would disappear LOL, I’ll take what I can get. Thanks for using the site and feel free to start posting your weigh in results in the forums, everyone is welcome!
May 31, 2010
Hi All …. I am starting a new eating plan tomorrow
Any tips or hints would be great also … I just want a truly basic balanced daily diet … so that it is simple and was thinking of just buying the WW ready meals as they are already measured out so I can’t get it wrong … is that good or bad? ….. Dee x
I am female 51 10 stone 5ft 2 reasonably active but don’t do gym at present. How many points would I be advised to allow myself? I plan to lose 1 stone but would love to lose 2 stone ideally.
June 1, 2010
Hi Dee, I responded to your other post as well, but would like to stress again that eating the ww meals is not the way to go. They are convenient for a meal occasionally, but meals like that are usually high in sodium which causes water retention. Also, the point values tend to be a little high for the meals, I know some that I’ve seen I could definitely make something equivalent using fewer points and ending up with more food (especially the breakfasts).
June 5, 2010
Hello from Scotland!
I came across this site by accident, and I’m so glad I did! Well done Dan, this is really great. I did weight watchers some years ago, and lost 3 stone (not sure what that is in pounds?!? – sorry!). I did a great job of keeping it off for a few years, but slowly I have piled back on 2 stones – I blame my boyfriend – it only happened after we moved in together! Seriously though, I am very disappointed with myself for letting it happen and not doing anything sooner. I’m now having real issues with self esteem, and I just feel like a fat old frump – I’m only 29! It’s not that I’m huuuuge, but I’m only small in height, and I’m currently a good 2 stone over my maximum healthy weight range. I’ve been doing ww on my own for the last few days, and it’s hard! Good luck to you all, hope you get to the weight you want, and wish me luck!
June 9, 2010
Hi Laura, and welcome to the site. You may be right about it being the boyfriends fault, seems like things like that always cause people to gain a little weight…my wife and I went through the same thing when we started dating. Weight Watchers definitely gets easier over time, especially as you start to memorize the points for some of the things that you eat regularly. Best of luck to you and thanks for visiting the site!
June 15, 2010
Hi Dan,
I am on ww as well. I have lost 20 ls in the last year still feel that my weight loss is slow. I know i need to get moving alot more,,,,any ideas how i can speed my weight loss up….if i did not join ww i would be gaining instead….great site will check in soon…keep the motivation going i need it…
thanks
June 15, 2010
Hi wendy, great job with the 20 pounds but I know how you feel about the loss feeling slow. I’ve been struggling with the last 10 pounds for quite some time and even though I am not gaining it is quite frustrating to not be losing. If you feel that your diet (eating) is where it should be with weight watchers then my advice would be to step up your exercise routine, either longer or more intense. Thanks for stopping in and good luck! Let us know how it goes…
June 22, 2010
Hi Dan,
How r u? I need some help, I cant seem to lose the late 10 pounds !! I have tried everything, I count all my points ( 18 day) I never use me flex , only sometimes my activity points. I don’t know what to do, the scale just wont move down !! I have no other choice but to do 12 points a day…..do you think that may work??
B.T.W I am Female / 24 / 5`6 / 140 Pounds and I hate it !!
June 23, 2010
Hi Rada, good to hear from you again. I’m not sure what the issue is for you but I don’t think that going down to 12 points a day is the answer. WW recommends 18 point per day minimum. From the information that you provided above I come up with a minimum of 21 points for you, plus whatever you would give yourself for your activity levels.
Believe it or not, eating less is not always the right answer for kicking in weight loss. Sometimes your body needs more fuel (food) to accomplish what it is trying to do. There was an episode of the biggest loser last year where a contestant was spending like 8-10 hours a day in the gym, eating minimal calories and still only losing a pound or 2 each week. His trainer (Jillian) evaluated his diet and came to the conclusion that he was not eating enough for his metabolism to function properly. She upped his calorie intake by 800 calories per day and the next week he lost 8 pounds. Sometimes it’s just a matter of finding the right balance but I think that any weight loss you have from eating only 12 points a day would turn out to be only temporary and may complicate things in the long run.

I saw this site listed on Facebook yesterday and checked it out. I’m so glad you took the time to do this Dan! Thank you! I joined WW online last July, and am down 40 pounds. I’ve been slacking a bit the last 2 months – but I’ve maintained. Now, I’ve decided to really kick it up to lose the remaining 30 pounds that have been hanging around just too long! I plan to use this site as a resource and love to hear others’ successes!
June 29, 2010
Hi Lindsey, thanks for stopping by. WOW, Facebook, huh? That’s great to hear, could you post a link to where you found it here so I could check it out? Hopefully they were saying good things about the site
40 pounds is an awesome achievment! I’m sure if you become dedicated again the remaining weight will melt away no problem. Good luck and check in once in awhile to let us know how it is going!
July 21, 2010
Hello everyone, I love, love, love this site! I lost around 50 pounds on WW awhile back, and since I have gained 30 back. I am starting over as of today! I think this website will help me so much, I love the support it gives, and hearing all of your stories! Well a big thank you to Dan, i will keep you posted as to my weight loss.
July 21, 2010
Hi Shauna, thanks for visiting and for the nice words about the site. Sound like you are an old pro at this (50 pounds – wow!) so you should be able to get right back on track. Good luck!
July 23, 2010
Just wanted to let everyone know that I may not be able to check the site much over the next week or so. There may be a delay in new comments appearing on the site after submission. Sorry for the inconvenience!
July 25, 2010
Hi Dan, sorry to bug you so much, but I weighted myself yesterday morning and it was up 2 lbs from friday! I was 186 on friday a total of 6lbs lost in a week. Is that possible? the weight is the same today so i’m pretty bummed. I have been using all my daily points, I use some of the weekly when we go out to dinner on friday nights. I exercise daily. I did redo the point allowance quiz last week and changed my activity level from mostly standing/sitting to mostly walking. Because I am usually moving all day cleaning house, chasing after my two toddlers, etc. Any advice or suggestions would be great feeling pretty bummed about the weight gain. Kinda feel like I will never lose it.
Thanks for listening and for any advice,
Bonnie
July 30, 2010
Hey bonnie, sorry for the delay (been on vacation).
There are a lot of things that could lead to a 6 pound loss in one week, and it would be very natural to follow that up with a slight gain. Just remain committed to the program and all of the little ‘speed bumps’ along the way will even out in the end. If you are following the program you will definitely lose the weight. DON’T GIVE UP!

Sorry it took so long to respond, I see you already found the link in the right hand column and I approved your account. Welcome to the forum!!!
August 8, 2010
Just found your website and I am so excited!! I started weight watchers on my own about a week ago (I have gone to a couple meetings in the past) I love all the information and feel like I can do this, losing 30 lbs is my goal!
August 9, 2010
Hey Karrie, glad you found the site! The great thing about WW is that with a little bit of dedication and motivation, anyone can have great success. Best of luck and let us know how it is going!
August 13, 2010
Great website. I am a lover of WEIGHTWATCHERS. It gave me the support and tools to lose over 115lbs. I have maintained this weight loss for three years and I still owe it all to WEIGHTWATCHERS. I continue to go to my weekly meetings and I weigh in every week too…. I will add to the site forums when I get a chance!
August 13, 2010
Hi Becky, you are my hero
. Your dedication has really paid off and you are an inspiration to all of us
Thanks for checking out the site and for the kind words. Looking forward to having you join our little group in the forum. Keep up the great work!

I just started WW after having my second baby. I lost 30 pounds naturally and have 25 to go! Yuck. Anyway, responding to an old comment from Rada- how is your water consumption. I know if you are at a plateau and you drink a lot of Diet soda (like I do) you should cut it out and drink water… maybe try that?
I lost weight with WW after my first baby and am back at it again- I hope it comes off fast
August 23, 2010
Hi Hailey,
=)
I try to drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday, I don’t drink any type of pop……but I do drink two cups of tea a day (sugar and milk free) I don’t know what’s going on with me…..why cant I lose these last 10 pounds. Its weird, beacuse on July 25th I weighed myself and I was down to 134, I have been doing good and have not cheated….so then last week I weight myself again and I was back at 140….I don’t get it…..

Dan – so happy to have found your site! Lost 57 pounds on Weight Watchers a couple years ago. Had some major life changes that I allowed to steer me off my path. Now here I go again on this long journey from the very beginning all over again. I’m so discouraged with myself. Can’t really afford to go back to the center, so I’m trying this on my own. Thrilled to have found this information because I couldn’t even remember how many points I should start off at. At least this feels like some level of support! Good job on your weight loss. Keep it up!
October 4, 2010
Thank you Melissa, and good luck to you!
There are a couple of us that try to keep each other motivated and offer support in the forums if you would like to join us.
October 4, 2010
I will look into that from home. Can’t do it here at work, so it’ll be an evening thing. Thanks for the info!
October 19, 2010
Hi Dan,
Your site is great fantastic! I came across it while searching for point values. I’ve been on weight watchers for 25 weeks. Old weight was 209.6 now down to 165 with another 10 lbs. left to go…I look amazing and couldn’t be happier about my size now. Plus my doc took me off highblood pressure meds since my pressure is lower now. Great job on your weight loss!
October 22, 2010
Ann, that is fantastic!!
Thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave a comment. My goal is to eventually be off of my diabetes meds. Not there yet but someday. Keep up the great work and congrats!

Dan,
Just found your website. Thank you so very much for doing this! It must be a lot of work to maintain all this information. Please know that it’s appreciated! I just joined WW 2 months ago and am always looking for good restaurant points resources. Yours is the best so far! Thanks again.
AJ

Dan,
Your site is a God-send! My dr. had told me to use the WW system for a number of years but I couldn’t afford the meeting and didn’t know how to do it by my self. So I did the Atkins for a while and it worked when I was younger but now that I am “over 40″ it is just too many calories for me. But when my friend hooked me up to your site I was thrilled and tried it. I lost about 36 lbs in a few months but then I got off of it and I have gained 20 back! UGH! So I am starting it again. It works out good the Kroger seems to always have either the Smart Ones, Lean Cuisines, or WW meals on sale for less that $2.00 plus the Kroger Lite Yogurts are only 1 pt for 8oz.
Anyway, thank you for creating and keeping this site up of us! Also, congrats on your weight loss accomplishments!
November 15, 2010
AJ – Thanks for the words of encouragement, sometimes I wonder what I got myself into
. It’s great to here that all of the work is not for nothing!
Michelle – Congrats with the success that you had with WW but you made the same mistake that many of us do (including me) thinking that once the weight is gone you can stop doing ww. I’ve come to learn that there is no ‘getting off’ weight watchers and have been trying to make adjustments that will make the program easier for me to live with for years to come.
Good luck to both of you and thanks for taking the time to leave comments!

Hi Dan,
Just wanted to say how much I love your website. I have suffered from an eating disorder all my life. I really love how user friednly your website is and the fact that it is FREE! I have just started on WW on my own and I too sometimes wonder what I got myself into but then I go onto your website and see all the positive feed back and comments/tips. I hope that your able to keep this website around for along time and also congrats on your weight loss accomplishments.
January 6, 2011
Hi Nevaeh! Thanks for the kind words about the site. I’ve been struggling with my weight through the holidays and have had a pretty big set back, but I’m back in the swing of things now and working hard to get back to where I was.
It’s always nice to here that someone is actually getting some use of use out of the site. Welcome aboard and thanks for visiting
January 14, 2011
Hi Dan! What a great site you have – very motivating. I just stumbled upon it while looking up WW info and I really enjoy your posts. My husband and I just started WW this past week. He has already lost 5 pounds (not fair!) and I am hoping that I at least will lose 3.
I love that you have compiled points for popular restaurants. My husband was ecstatic to see that he could get a burger at Red Robin for 28 points.
Thanks so much for your site and good luck to you!
Lesli
January 19, 2011
Hi Lesli, sorry for the delayed response. Work has been hectic and I’ve been working through my lunches instead of working on the site.
I don’t know if I could bring myself to eat one of those 28 point burgers. LOL, maybe if it was a special occasion
I’m glad you guys finally made it to the site and best wishes to both of you!!

Wow Dennie, that’s fantastic news!
I deserve no credit for your hard work. Your positive attitude and dedication to the plan are what brought on your success. CONGRATS TO YOU!
You’ve won the battle, but don’t think the war is over, it’s a fight that you need to be ready for every day. Sounds like you are prepared for it…
Congrats again
February 17, 2011
Hello Dan,
I initially went to the site to see how many points it is for a yogurt parfait! After reading your blog, I thought to myself, this is a good way to keep you focused and encourage others. I started WW on 2/12/2011. My goal weight is 160lbs. My second meeting is this Saturday! I must say that I stuck to the plan. I haven’t incorporated exercise as of yet, but I hope to see some progress. I only have 55 lbs to lose! I will keep you posted.
February 17, 2011
I have been on Weight Watchers since September 21st of 2010 and I have managed to lose 33.8lbs with a goal of 100 total pounds that I would like to lose hearing other peoples stories really help me to focus and stay motivated. I think this is wonderful and I am sure you will reach your goal. Congrats on the weight lost so far!
February 23, 2011
Hey Chysa and Krystal Lou, welcome to the site!!
Chysa, I think you’ll find that it is actually pretty easy to stick with the plan, especially in the beginning when you start to see some of the weight coming off. You will really notice a difference when you can start to incorporate some exercise. Keep us updated on your progress and best wishes!!
Krystal Lou, wow great job in a relatively short period of time (especially thru the holidays!). Keep up the good work and feel free to give us an update once in awhile. Reading of the success of others really can be a motivator
March 19, 2011
Hello,
I think WW is a great program, but I am just not able to attend physical meetings right now. This site is a real treasure because it looks to give the needed companionship and encouragement needed for a weight-loss journey.
I have just stumbled upon this site, and first of all, I want to thank Dan for having it up for those of us who are either not able to afford the WW meetings, or for those who are frugal.
My health goals are to lose weight in 10 pound increments until I reach a healthy weight for myself. So, for me, I need to lose 50-55 pounds.
Thank you again, Dan, and let me know how I can contribute to your site.
March 22, 2011
Hi Contessa, thanks for visiting and best wishes with your goals. Let us know from time to time how it’s going…Thanks again
April 4, 2011
Hello Dan!,
I have an update, okay, since my second meeting 2/19/11, I have lost a total of 12.2 pounds! I am so excited! Because I am getting results, it is hard to stop! I make an effort to walk 10,000 steps a day which I have accomplished at work alone! I will keep you updated as my journey progresses!
April 4, 2011
Outstanding, Chysa! Keep up the great work and thanks for the update…keep ‘em coming
April 11, 2011
Dan!
I use your site everyday, multiple times a day. Thank You for all the hard work you have put into this site. I have been using your site to follow the old WW points system (since that is the one I already know)for almost two weeks now and have lost 4 pounds! I couldn’t do it without you! Thank You again!!
April 11, 2011
You’re off to a great start, Stephanie! Keep it up and thanks for using the site
Feel free to drop us a line from time to time on your progress
April 15, 2011
Hi Dan,
Thanks to your hard work and effort on this website, I am now able to enjoy my treats and have a well balanced menue without feeling guilty.
I found your site while searching for the healthy exercising and eating plan. The reason for my weight struggle is my terrible sweet tooth, and I must tell you that this site is the next best thing after chocolate!!
You deserve so much credit for the work you have done.
Thank You!
April 19, 2011
My pleasure, Annika. Thank you for the kind words!
June 1, 2011
Hi Dan! I just found your site! What a wonderful resource! I hope you don’t mind but I would like to share it with some of my friends who are doing WW too. I have been on WW plan since Nov 2010 and have lost 35.5 lbs! I was never able to lose before, so I am a fan of WW but also believe once you have the tools, you can definitely do it on your own too! Thanks for all your hardwork on this site, its great!
June 2, 2011
Hi Christina, congrats on your success!
Thanks for the kind words about the site and for helping spread the word to your friends. With the success that you’ve had your friends already have a great resource

Does anyone have any tips fir losing the last 5 pounds I have come a long way I have lost 120 pounds and I have been as close as 2 lbs from my goal and then back up to as far as 5 I have done this for almost a year after taking 30 years to finally figure out my battle with weight I attend my meeting and feel as this last 9 pounds is impossible
June 12, 2011
I have also decided to go back to the old program I was not having success on the new program I think what was happening was when I was busy I did not know the points and would blow it. I was happy to see that there are other that went back to old program
June 16, 2011
Hi Beth, welcome to the site. CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS!! I fought the battle with the last few pounds for many months and at this time appear to be losing. I was as close as 2 pounds, also, but at the moment it’s more like 16 pounds. But there are no white flags in this battle, just determination to keep trying.
Seems like for most people, once you start on a certain version of the program that is the one that you feel most confident with and end up having the most success with. Just don’t ‘give up’. You have had great success and as far as your body is concerened maybe you are already at your ideal weight.
Thanks for visiting and check in once in a while and let us know how you are doing
June 17, 2011
Are most people happier with the old or new plan?
I like the old plan, probably because I know it so well. Love this site. Just found it.
June 20, 2011
Hi Shirley, put me down as a fan of the old plan
Thanks for visiting
