Hey bonnie, sorry for the delay (been on vacation).

There are a lot of things that could lead to a 6 pound loss in one week, and it would be very natural to follow that up with a slight gain. Just remain committed to the program and all of the little 'speed bumps' along the way will even out in the end. If you are following the program you will definitely lose the weight. DON'T GIVE UP! :-)

Hi Dan, sorry to bug you so much, but I weighted myself yesterday morning and it was up 2 lbs from friday! I was 186 on friday a total of 6lbs lost in a week. Is that possible? the weight is the same today so i'm pretty bummed. I have been using all my daily points, I use some of the weekly when we go out to dinner on friday nights. I exercise daily. I did redo the point allowance quiz last week and changed my activity level from mostly standing/sitting to mostly walking. Because I am usually moving all day cleaning house, chasing after my two toddlers, etc. Any advice or suggestions would be great feeling pretty bummed about the weight gain. Kinda feel like I will never lose it.

Thanks for listening and for any advice,
Bonnie

Just wanted to let everyone know that I may not be able to check the site much over the next week or so. There may be a delay in new comments appearing on the site after submission. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Shauna, thanks for visiting and for the nice words about the site. Sound like you are an old pro at this (50 pounds - wow!) so you should be able to get right back on track. Good luck!

Hi Lindsey, thanks for stopping by. WOW, Facebook, huh? That's great to hear, could you post a link to where you found it here so I could check it out? Hopefully they were saying good things about the site :-)

40 pounds is an awesome achievment! I'm sure if you become dedicated again the remaining weight will melt away no problem. Good luck and check in once in awhile to let us know how it is going!

I saw this site listed on Facebook yesterday and checked it out. I'm so glad you took the time to do this Dan! Thank you! I joined WW online last July, and am down 40 pounds. I've been slacking a bit the last 2 months - but I've maintained. Now, I've decided to really kick it up to lose the remaining 30 pounds that have been hanging around just too long! I plan to use this site as a resource and love to hear others' successes!

Hi Rada, good to here from you again. I'm not sure what the issue is for you but I don't think that going down to 12 points a day is the answer. WW recommends 18 point per day minimum. From the information that you provided above I come up with a minimum of 21 points for you, plus whatever you would give yourself for your activity levels.

Believe it or not, eating less is not always the right answer for kicking in weight loss. Sometimes your body needs more fuel (food) to accomplish what it is trying to do. There was an episode of the biggest loser last year where a contestant was spending like 8-10 hours a day in the gym, eating minimal calories and still only losing a pound or 2 each week. His trainer (Jillian) evaluated his diet and came to the conclusion that he was not eating enough for his metabolism to function properly. She upped his calorie intake by 800 calories per day and the next week he lost 8 pounds. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right balance but I think that any weight loss you have from eating only 12 points a day would turn out to be only temporary and may complicate things in the long run.

Hi wendy, great job with the 20 pounds but I know how you feel about the loss feeling slow. I've been struggling with the last 10 pounds for quite some time and even though I am not gaining it is quite frustrating to not be losing. If you feel that your diet (eating) is where it should be with weight watchers then my advice would be to step up your exercise routine, either longer or more intense. Thanks for stopping in and good luck! Let us know how it goes...
