My Weight Watchers Progress
Below are the results of my weekly weigh-ins since I first started doing Weight Watchers in the spring of 2009. The weeks that are in bold are weeks that I signed up for another ‘Weekly Pass’.
The first table contains official weights from my Weight Watchers meetings in 2009. The second one contains unofficial weigh-ins as I try to lose the weight by doing Weight Watchers on my own in 2010. Wish me luck! (updated results are being posted in the forums)

Well, I managed to survive the holidays without totalling blowing my weight loss to this point. I had quite a hard time, basically from Halloween on. Now that all of that is behind me it is time to get back on track. Last weekend I assembled a home gym in the basement that I have started to work into my daily routine. I’m doing a 12 week program that involves weight training and cardio. Hopefully this will help get me to my goal of 195 pounds in that time, which would only be 1 pound per week…time to get back on program!!

Well, I finally updated my results for the last 5 weeks. Up 4 pounds and I still have not had my ‘post’ Thanksgiving weigh in yet (that will be tomorrow). I’m hoping to pull out a small loss and have been doing an hour on the treadmill everyday since Saturday. Hopefully it pays off. Only 3 weigh ins left (including tomorrow) to reach my personal goal of being under 200 pounds…
Today was my final ‘official’ weigh in. The total tally after 32 weeks of doing Weight Watchers is a 26.6 pound weight loss. I was hoping for a little more (personal goal is 195) but had a hard time starting around Halloween and continuing through the remainder of the year. I’m going to quit tracking for the rest of this year (2 weeks) and will begin logging my weights again in the new year. Hopefully my goal will be a little easier to get to after the holidays.
Dan,
You are doing just fabulous. You are successfully down over 20lbs. And, goal is not too far away. Good for you! I am on a similar path as you. I started in June and did well, struggling through the holidays. It is January and it is a new start. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your success in weeks to come.
Thanks for the encouragement, Stephanie. This week may be a little ruff for me as well, as my birthday is coming up. I told my wife no cake but we usually go out for dinner. I will try to be good…
What I love about following the Flex plan is I can plan to have a cheat meal and use my allowance POINTS!
I’m back on WW after falling out of the habit of tracking my POINTS and gaining close to 10 lbs.
Happy Birthday…
And congrat’s on the loss last week.
Thanks Stephanie! Looking good for this week, so far…
I really love this site…I had originally lost 26 lbs on weight watchers 4 years ago…I had like 5 lbs to go but it wouldn’t budge…so I maintained that loss up until Ocotber 2009 when I became ill for a month, quit smoking and went to Hawaii!!! Yeah hello 12 lbs on top of the 5 I never got off…so I have pulled out all my old weight watchers books and sliders and so far since the 8th have dropped 5 lbs…yay…so this site is helping me out with quite a few aspects and I just wanted to thank you for the time you spend keeping this going for those of us who don’t want to pay the 300 bucks to go back to real meetings…so good luck to you, you are almost there brother!!! and I will use your site like a dirty shirt!!!
lisa
LOL, Thanks Lisa and welcome to the site. It’s weird how it takes so much work and dedication to lose the weight but it seems like it can all come undone in a weekend…Your off to a great start, keep up the good work!
I use lactose free/fat free creamer in my coffee. I cannot locate the points for this. Also, under the sweetners??…I use natural (light brown) turbinado sugar. What would be the points for these 2 things.? i cant find them on here. thanks! love this site, and im finally on my way!! I just need the total points for my coffee so if anyone can help, it would be appreciated!!
Hi Dennie, thanks for visiting the site. Here is what I can find:
1 tsp Tubinator Sugar (20 Cal, 0 Fat, 0 Fib) = 0 Points
1 tsp Lactose Free Fat Free Coffee Creamer (10 Cal, 0 Fat, 0 Fib) = 0 points
Keep in mind that the above point values are for 1 serving only. The creamer is still 0 points for two servings but if you use 2 servings of the sugar that will be one point.
Hey Y’all! I’m new to the site and the program (2 meetings so far!). I am recently engaged, and I need to lose 50lbs by late summer. The wedding is in October, and I intend to look fabulous =D
Thanks for all the help so far, and wish me luck!
Hey Jennifer, welcome to the site!! 50 pounds is definitely possible. Four years ago my wife (also a Jennifer) lost a little over 50 pounds in 6 months and has kept it off ever since. WW is a great program and if you stick with it you will look great! Stop by once in awile and let us know how it goes. Good luck!
Will do…thanks for the warm welcome!
Well, after 12 complete weeks of WW with my new workout routine I am only down 3.2 pounds. That number is kind of a bummer, but I am trying to convince myself that although my weight has not changed much, I am in much better shape and have gained a noticeable amount of muscle.
Now I need to decide how to approach the next ‘phase’ of my plan…continue with the strength training and accept the slower weight loss or concentrate only on cardio and diet…
Dan, I don’t know you’re height and muscle mass. However the one problem I’ve found with WW is some of their recommended weights seem off to me. For example my husband is in awesome shape. He’s 5’9 and weighs 198, but is super buff. At my first weight watchers meeting they showed us this height/weight goal chart and looking at the guys they recommend someone like him have a goal of 185. If he dropped down even more than a few lbs it would look like he was ill. Also they suggest for my height i be between 124-134. When I was a size 4 and weighed 140 ish all thorough highschool. My point is You’re doing great and you’ve lost alot of weight already. I know that its good to set weight goals, but if you are eating healthy for your weight, and very active in work out plan, you should be proud that you are taking care of your health and not so worried that the scale says 3.2lbs. I’m sure you’re doctor will tell you physically you have done wonders over the past year for your health and that is all that really matters.
Hi Amanda Jo. I know what you mean about the height/weight thing. I am 6’0″ and according to weight watchers (and my doctor) I should be 185 pounds, also. That’s what I weighed in the 6th grade!
I still have my personal goal set at 195 pounds but I am not tying myself into a certain time frame to accomplish it. As long as I am eating healthy and exercising frequently I must be getting healthier, right?
Exactly, the whole point in life is that you feel healthy and you feel good about your progress. Keep you’re head up. You just need to keep reminding yourself that you’ve come so far and accomplished so much already. Those last 10lbs are hell on everyone!
🙂
I have just come across your website….and I am very excited….I need to lose aprox 50lbs….weighed in today 191 and my goal is 140lbs….my shorterm goal right now is hopefully 10-15lbs by the may long weekend….turning 40 and would like to wear a dress that is hanging in my closet little to snug…lol…anyways just wanted to say what a great job on your site….and i look forward to utilizing all your information and tips…..:)
Hey Tracy! Welcome to the site. Ten pounds by Memorial weekend should be very attainable. The weight usually comes off pretty easy in the beginning so you may actually reach your goal a little early. Be sure to get in some exercise! Good luck and let us know how it’s going once in awhile.
Hi Dan –
Try not to get discouraged, although I know it’s easy. You are doing great! When you are gaining muscle the scale is not your friend. You should try measuring yourself instead, and take note of how your clothes are fitting. I’ve always said I don’t care what the scale says, I care what the mirror says 🙂
7 years ago I did WW and lost 62 lbs, and made lifetime. Then my life changed and I went back to work… sigh. I have now gained it all back, plus some.
The program really works for me, but I seem to falter big time when I don’t go to meetings. I am thinking of giving it a no-meeting try again. Hopefully my weight loss efforts will be fueled by my new training schedule…. I am training to walk 60 miles in 3 days in the Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure! Losing the extra weight sure would help me get through those miles!
Here on your site I found just the tools I needed to help me get restarted. Thanks!
Thank you Deb. I do know that my waistline is trimming down as I’ve moved down a pant size and they are getting loose now, too. My wife keeps saying that I look great but she’s my wife so she has to say that 🙂
I know what you mean about the meetings, I think the weigh in was a real motivator for me. I may sign up again soon just to help jump start my weight loss a little.
Good luck with the walk (and with your goals)! If there’s ever anything that you are looking for that I don’t have on the site, let me know and I will do my best to dig up some information.
Good afternoon All!
I started WW on March 15. Even though we had some major obsticals over these past 4 weeks it was pretty good. I have lost 10 lbs already. I love this site, Thanks Dan!!
Just a suggestion, recipes would be nice, I’m always looking for new things to try. My husband and I both are following WW and we need ALOT of points through out the day (32 pts and 42 pts).. SO we have been trying new recipes. If anyone has anything please share.
I’ve got some small goals and I just hit the first one by losing 10 lbs by April 15th and it’s not even the 15th yet! YAH ME!! Next goal about another 10-15 by Memorial Day… Gotta keep my small goals in my head so I can reach my big goal of 60 lbs by January…
Also I don’t go to meetings but I have a few people that do that so when they goto there meetings on Monday evening we text each other to announce our weightloss! So that keeps me motivated. It’s like my little own WW group!!!
Everyone keep up the good work, it’s not a diet it’s a life change…
Hi Dani, so glad that you found the site. Ten pounds in 4 weeks is a great number! You should be very proud!
Whenever someone says they have a suggestion for the site my heart always skips a beat, because I am still kind of new at running a site and learning as I go along. I’m always afraid that the request will be something that I have no idea how to do. Yours is an easy one that actually already exists. I just broke 100 recipes on the site today. There is a link on the home page of the site about half way down for recipes. Here is a direct link…
I like the idea of small goals, makes them more attainable and gives you a reason to celebrate your accomplishments more often. Good luck to you and your husband and let me know if there is anything else that you would like to see on the site and I will do my best.
